Inky Fingers: Block Printing on Fabric & Paper

makerie_sam2.jpg

Learn and explore the basic technique of block printing. We will spend the morning exploring the basic ways to carve a block and successfully print on paper and fabric. I'm looking forward to teaching you all of my tips and tricks and share my favorite tools and techniques.

In the afternoon, we will spend some time exploring repeat patterns and using classic prints in a modern way. We will then have time to work on patterns and projects together. I can't wait to see what you create!

I fell in love with this art form because is it versatile, simple to learn, and fun! You will come away from this class with a couple of completed projects, plenty of inspiration to create your own prints... and probably a bit of ink on your fingers.
