Do you have a line from a favorite poem, a personal motto or song lyric you love? Learn the basics of embroidery, simple pattern-making techniques and stitch a ready-to-hang banner with a meaningful message. Never held a needle and thread? Not adept at drawing? Not necessary. Jenny will have ready-made lettering and patterns on hand along with guidance to get you stitching. All supplies provided. All you need to bring is a message (under 15 words) in you heart.
Students are welcome to bring their own supplies or preferred tools, but it is not necessary. Students are also welcome to bring copies of Jenny's books to sign, or their own work-in-progress embroideries to share.

$20 (an 8" x 14" ready-to-hang cotton banner, embroidery hoops, embroidery floss, needles, scissors, embroidery patterns and pattern-making tools. Students will leave with a wall-hanging, pair of embroidery scissors, and a pack of Epic Alphabet Iron-On Transfer Patterns)
Jenny Hart is known worldwide for her artwork in hand embroidery and also her revolutionary craft company Sublime Stitching. Hart’s work has been published in numerous books and countless magazines including Vogue, Nylon, Spin, The Face, Juxtapoz, The New York Times Magazine and others. She has exhibited in Los Angeles, London and New York, and most recently held a solo show of drawings in Paris. Hart is also an award-winning author of seven titles on embroidery for Chronicle Books. Jenny’s work is in multiple public and private collections of note, including the estate of Elizabeth Taylor and the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
Jenny Hart has lived in Kansas, France and Texas. She resides in and works from Los Angeles, California.
