During this workshop you will learn how to manipulate leather using simple techniques to change a simple strip of leather into a beautiful, one of a kind bracelet. We 'll also explore the basic techniques needed to make a leather strap. This will include cutting, beveling & finishing a strap to achieve a professional finished result. We can then embellish our pieces & turn them into personalized bracelets. Each student will leave the class with multiple samples of their own creations.

About Elke

Elke, a native New Yorker, started her life in design in NYC after studying fine art in college. After stumbling into the menswear business it quickly became the career path she stuck to. When her children were born it was a good opportunity to take some time off to focus on family. During that period she was free to start playing with her hands again & venture into the handmade side of things. Moving to Colorado 6 years ago was the perfect time to start planning a small business that could incorporate her love & need to use her hands. By elke, a handmade bag company was the result. Elke is a self taught leather worker who believes that by just putting in the hours & by constantly experimenting with different materials, creative possibilities are endless.
