Flora Waycott is an artist and illustrator living in Western Australia. 

Flora’s love of creativity started as a child growing up in Japan. Surrounded by vibrant colors and patterns, she was compelled to incorporate art in her life from then on. Painting holds a space of balance and calm; the act of mixing colors and putting brush to paper is a very soothing experience and a place she returns to time and time again for comfort and familiarity. 

Raised in both Japan and England, Flora completed a degree in Textile Design in the UK before working as a textile designer in London. Her travels took her to New Zealand where she tutored in textile design and furthered her career as an artist and illustrator, before moving to Australia in 2016. She has worked for clients around the world on illustration projects, as well as her own art practice which includes drawing, painting, paper crafts and teaching.

Flora is the author of Draw Every Little Thing, (2019); a drawing and painting guide for objects and items in your everyday life.
